Dear Limmudniks,

We have been closely following the global situation that is accelerating at an unprecedented rate. Unfortunately, in NY, cases of COVID19 have been steadily growing as well.

In light of these events, as well as with advice from Limmud FSU International, our upcoming May 2020 Limmud FSU NY Festival will be postponed. The health and safety of our community have always been and remain our top priority.

The new dates for the conference will be announced shortly.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us by email at and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Hadar Farkash Jewish community activist

Hadar Farkash is a passionate Zionist and Jewish community activist. Born and raised in Israel, Hadar served in the military as a commander and combat fighter for three years. She moved to the Bay Area five years ago as part of a cultural exchange program. As a pro-Israel advocate in the U.S., she has collaborated with organizations including the Israeli-American Council and StandWithUs. She also has volunteered with the JCC, Moishe House, and Tzofim. Hadar is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley, where she received a B.A. in Middle Eastern Studies, focusing on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Hadar chose to join the Club Z team after her experience as an Israeli college student in the U.S. made clear just the importance of educating youth about Israel before they reach university. She now works at Club Z as the Bay Area Regional Director and Lead Educator.
