Amir Tadmor Founding co-chairman of Jewish-Muslim Beit Midrash in Etsion Block,the west bank.
Amir has been trying for some 40 years to contribute to Israeli Arab peace and understanding.
He was spokesman of Itshak Rabin.(1991-1992).
In the Rabin government he served as director of international relations dept.Ministry of Economy.As such he was co ordinator of
peace building and co operation projects with the Palestinian Authority ,Jordan,Egypt working closely with the US State Dept. and the European Union.
He was later moved to serve in the Prime Ministers office in the same capacity.
Amir resigned from the PM s office after the assasination of Rabin and turned to peace education. and Jewish Education He established the Children of Abraham association of Arabs and Jews together
and led and intiated numerous dialoges, teacher training courses in Israel, the West Bank and Gaza..
Currently Amir is founding co-charman of Jewish-Moslem Beit Midrash in Etsion Block,the west bank.Rabbies and Sheiks sit together and study Bible and Koran in order to send the educated message that faith and religion are a basis for peace and understanding argueing that Judaism and Islam are "sister religions" .
Amir has a BA in International Relations and Middle East Studies.( Hebrew university)
Studied graduate studies in MIDDLE EAST,arabic and Islam.(hebrew u+ucla)/
MA In Judaism ( Machon Shechter-JTS Israel)
MA IN EDUCATION/( Tel Aviv university)
