Sessions

From Antiquity to Modernity The parallels between Ruth the Moabite and Rachel the Israeli voice of Degania

In this session, we will explore the parallels between two women that seemingly could not be further apart. We'll talk through the stories of Ruth, King David's great-grandmother, and Rachel Bluwstein, the modern Israeli poet. Both women's stories talk about their influence on the Jewish people and their connection to their Jewish identity.
Two women – two eras – two destinies – many parallels.
