Meet Organizing Committee

Milana was born in the former Soviet Union (St. Petersburg to be exact), raised in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), and immigrated with her family to the USA in December of 1999 without a stitch of English!

Overcoming culture shock, Milana continued to pursue her professional and personal goals, while residing in Forest Hills, Queens. Her MBA from NYU Stern with a concentration in Marketing and Change Management had sparked her career.

Aside from her significant dedication to her career, Milana is passionate about social entrepreneurship (serves as a mentor to young entrepreneurs - midrashmanicures.com). She loves reading French history books, and experimenting in the kitchen. Her favorite cuisine is Mediterranean.

I attend Limmud because its a lot of fun and a great learning experience. I was fortunate to become a part of organizing committee for Limmud Focus because I care for my community and attempted to apply my knowledge, energy, and ideas to make experience of program participants as fruitful as possible.
