LIMMUD FSU Recharge Presenters 2016

Born in Ukraine and grew up in Israel, Vitaly has always aspired to become an artist. At some point, however, after receiving his BFA in Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology, circumstances led Vitaly to pursue a degree in Education at Sarah Lawrence College. During that pursuit, Vitaly discovered a new interest and later a new career. Vitaly taught for three years as a classroom teacher, and this year assumed the role of an art teacher. This new role allows Vitaly to examine the bridge between art and education, and begin developing his own pedagogy based on exploration, which is most similar to the Open Classroom and other Progressive philosophies.
