Manashe develops a visible presence for Bukharian youth in the community. As Director of JCCA’s Bukharian Teen Lounge, he organizes educational, social and recreational trips and activities, as well as implements leadership training seminars cultivating the next generation of Jewish leaders. Manashe is very involved in Jewish community life both as a professional and as a volunteer. Manashe is originally from Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Having emigrated in 2001, he has a complex identity that combines East and West, tradition and modernity. Manashe serves as a Task Force Member of Commission on the Jewish People at the UJA-Federation of NY and as a Chair of PR and Marketing at Limmud FSU US. He is a recipient of JCCA’s Robert Maslow Award for Excellence in Practice and an alumnus of the Nahum Goldmann Fellowship for International Jewish Leaders. Manashe received a BA in Corporate Communication and Marketing from Baruch College, where he served as Hillel President.
