Evgeny Kogan was born in 1965. He graduated from Financial University in Moscow in 1987 with honors and later continued his studies in Finance at Bar Ilan University and Tel Aviv University in Israel. Evgeny completed his Doctoral degree in Economics in 2005, and he is now a Professor at the National Research University Higher School of Economics in Moscow. Evgeny received a Person of the Year award in 2007 in Finance/Business. Since 1990 Evgeny held a number of positions of growing responsibility, starting as an investment advisor and moving into top management positions, including being a senior partner at a Russian wealth management firm Third Rome. Currently, he is a president of the Moscow Partners investment boutique.
