A graduate of Columbia University, Rabbi Rachel Grant Meyer was ordained by HUC-JIR in New York. Prior to rabbinical school, Rabbi Meyer worked as a Program Associate in the KESHER: College Department at the URJ. After ordination, Rabbi Meyer served as Assistant Rabbi at Congregation Rodeph Sholom in New York City. In June 2015, Rabbi Meyer joined HIAS, the world's oldest, and only Jewish, refugee resettlement organization, as Director of Education , where she educates American Jews about the plight of today's refugees and the connection to Jewish values and history.
