Mira Wasserman’s work as a rabbi and scholar bridges Talmud study, community building and the pursuit of social justice. Mira served as a congregational rabbi for over a decade and is now an Assistant Professor of Rabbinic Literature at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College. She attended rabbinical school at the Hebrew Union College, earned her doctorate at UC Berkeley, and is an alumna of the Wexner Graduate Fellowship. In her current book project, she argues for drawing on Rabbinic literature—and the Talmud in particular—as a model for contemporary ethical deliberation.
